Winston-Salem is very spread out. While it has a relatively large population, there isn’t really a downtown to speak of. Even at the very center of the city sidewalks are not guaranteed, which forces residents to drive anywhere they go, and puts a damper on the kind of downtown feel that one would see in many other cities of comparable size.

Winston Salem is a great city. It resides in the middle of North Carolina and one can easily reach the beach or the mountains in a few short hours. There is a sprawling nightlife from many breweries to delicious restaurants to keep you entertained. I would recommend moving to Winston Salem to any person looking for a laid back town to settle down in.

Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point form The Triad. Tourists are primarily interested in our area because we offer excellent opportunities for artists to showcase their wide range of abilities to diverse groups of visitors and residents.

Winston Salem is a beautiful city. Known for its proximity to the beach and mountains, this booming metropolitan has grown in popularity over the years. I absolutely love living here and feel the city has so much to offer in regards to history, culture, and beauty. Winston Salem was built on tobacco and textiles, but is turning the industry around and focusing more on art, diversity, and inclusion.

When moving to Winston-Salem, one should expect a family community and a growing social scene that caters to people who are 20-50 years old. The main focus for school-age youth is the STEM program; our local government desires to grow in this area to have a competitive edge nationally and eventually internationally.

If you’re moving to Winston-Salem here are a few places to see before you make the big move.
1. Downtown is beautiful year-round whether you’re interested in the art district or the best food around you’ll enjoy your time I guarantee it!
