The Manawatu is a beautiful place. There are very few places in the world where you can spend a Spring morning going for a stroll along the beach, then, after only an hour of travel, spend your afternoon skiing or snowboarding on the stunning Mount Ruapehu. You will be spoilt for choice in our corner of the world.

Whanganui is lovely, but quaint. However, it’s calm demeanour is welcoming to those who have lived stressful lives. You may just find yourself in a state of ambivalence. There is something for everyone, elderly and children. The beautiful river (te awa) is smack bang in the middle, providing a beautifully scenic escape.
