Wells is a culturally rich, very dog friendly and interesting city. The pinnacle of the city is Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace with the surrounding moat. Good schools abound and plenty of community projects to get involved in. Wednesday and Saturday are market days in the Town Square adjacent to Bishop’s Palace. Beautiful walking trails, cider farms and surrounding villages full of delightful crafts, organic produce and neighbouring caves to explore. A city that sleeps earlier in the evening but has a plethora of offering in the daytime. Streams, rivers, cave pools and fords to paddle and bathe or for your dog to cool off in.

Wells has a beautiful Cathedral and neighbouring Abbots’ gate which make for scenic tourist attractions. It also features many old streets which make it a very attractive place for film and television crews to shoot their productions. To name a few, Hot Fuzz, the BBC’s Hollow Crown series, The Huntsman: Winter’s War and Doctor Who have all chosen Wells as their shooting site.
