Winter Park is a very beautiful area to move to. There are many great restaurants and activities to do with family. Some areas, as all places have them, are not so beautiful. Stay around the Winter Park and Oviedo area for better results. The grocery stores and shopping areas are close by as well.

Our city has the feel of both old and new town neighborhoods. There is a lot of lakes and waterways, so there is a lot of lakeside living. There is a beautiful section of historical areas that includes things like brick roads, a train station and a farmers market. This is the home of a popular private college, Rollins. In the winter they do tree lighting and “snow fall” and even an ice skating rink. The newer areas are more contemporary more modern construction. There is sufficient amount of shopping, dining and social activities to be had in both.

Any person moving to Winter Park should be assured that it is a wonderful place. The heart of the town is quaint and quiet; taking a stroll past its small shops and restaurants makes for a lovely evening. Winter Park maintains a suburban feel on the outskirts of downtown Orlando.

Winter Park is an excellent area to start and raise a family. The schools in the area are very highly rated, and there are plenty of things to do. It is close, but not too close, to Disney and the other amusement parks. It is also only a short drive to either of Florida’s coast lines for the beaches.

Winter Park is an old and beautiful place. With a deep history in citrus farming, the town still holds scattered remnants of its past found in brick buildings and old railways. You know you are stepping back in time when you drive down Park Avenue, which is the historic strip developed in the 60’s. Massive old oak trees, flush with spanish moss, will always be there to greet you, swaying overhead, as you drive down the bricks roads.

Winter Park is a beautiful city in sunny Central Florida, but it might not be for everyone. The city is home to two universities, University of Central Florida and Full Sail University, so the population is pretty young. There are also lots of restaurants, bars and clubs to cater to that demographic. Therefore, if you want a quieter environment, it may be beneficial to live in one of the neighboring cities instead.
