Bulawayo is the second capital of Zimbabwe. It is located in the southern part of the country. The city has a dry savanna climate and temperatures are usually around 30 °C in the summer. Most locals speak Ndebele but they are also quite fluent in English. Moving around the city is by public transport though it is unreliable at times, private cabs are also however available. There are quite a number of outdoor tourist attractions in Bulawayo and these include Chipangali animal orphanage, Matopos national parks.

It is also the second largest city by size and population. Knowledge of the Ndebele language is important since about half the population are native Ndebele speakers. The city is in the hotter regions of the country so summers can be really hot.
