Walnut, California, is 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and 25 miles north of Anaheim. Walnut is often confused with Walnut Creek, which is in the other (Northern) part of California. Walnut is a small suburb. Referred to as “The Nut” by locals, Walnut is like an ordinary town. There are no towering skyscrapers with a wild and intense night life which can be found in Los Angeles, and there are no elaborate amusement parks or massive stadiums which can be found in Anaheim.

“The Village,” is an area populated with different restaurants and shops that many families spend their weekends together at. Walnut has a small and close knit community. It takes approximately only fifteen minutes to drive from one side of town to the opposite site. There is only one middle school in the district and one high school.
