It gets into the high 90s in July, August, and sometimes September, maybe even in the 100s? Add in a little forest fire smoke, and you’ve got delightful conditions for contracting asthma. On the other hand, if you like shooting guns, riding dirt bikes, and 4×4 adventures, welcome to ‘your own private Idaho.’ There are rivers for rafting, but you better know what the hell you are doing and be willing to drive for hours, like 5-8 hrs one way. Which is pretty much true all over the West—the driving, that is—which works out well for many as they love sitting in their cars driving. It’s dry, dry, dry, and there are lots of church-going folk. If you need friends, join a church. Baseball caps, trucks, beards, and Trump supporters, as well as Mormons, are quite common here.
