Margao, Goa, offers life in a calmer environment than other metro cities. It is more peaceful here. In most areas, there is no traffic (only Margao, Panjim, and areas with construction going on). If you are moving from the north, you will have to get accustomed to the humidity and the weird sticky heat of the summer and beautiful rains in the monsoon. People are pretty chill. Mostly family businesses. Not a lot of malls like other cities. Slow-paced life. Super green. Clean roads. Scenic routes. You can just take your bike and roam for hours. If you are staying for a long time, make sure you are near essentials like markets, hospitals, stores, etc. Things are far apart so you wouldn’t want to be in a difficult situation during an emergency. Also, apps like Swiggy have just started so I don’t know how many areas they cover. If you are used the luxurious life of metros, you will find it a tad boring and difficult. A small-town vibe is what Gpa has.

Margao is very crowded. Many of South Goa’s administrative offices are located here, as it is the economic hub of Goa. Living around Margao is more affordable than living in the city. There will always be heavy traffic here. The market is unclean and the vendors corrupt. Educational institutions are the best in and around this area.
