Cockeysville is a suburb of Baltimore about half an hour north of the city itself. It is close enough to the city to enjoy events downtown, but far enough from the troubles of the city that people feel comfortable and safe living there. Everything that one could need is conveniently nearby. For someone who prefers more space, however, Cockeysville is not an ideal place. Although there are plenty of single-family homes, the lots tend to be small. There are plenty of apartment and townhouse communities to choose from. There is one bus line that snakes its way through the area along with a few light rail stops that provide easy access to an alternative means of getting downtown, especially during rush hour!

When moving to Cockeysville, transportation is mandatory. Secondly, the stores will close early (9 pm), so it is imperative you get your goods in the early part of the day. Thirdly, there are great schools. An education system that showed success among its students was one of the main goals in selecting a place to move my family.
