What are transportation options and challenges in Caloocan City, Metro Manila?

There are two things you should know. First, there are seven tricycle terminals. Each terminal has their own routes! You have to memorize the routes, so you will not get lost. Second, on Sundays, people in the neighborhood usually have their get-togethers and it’s fun, but noisy.

The City of Caloocan is divided into two parts, north and south. To reach north from south, and vice-versa, you have to cross another city. The north is near the province of Bulacan and more of a rural area, while the south feels more like an urban. Living here, heavy traffic is very prominent, making it hard to travel everyday.

Caloocan City always experiences heavy traffic which makes traveling time-consuming and daunting. I would not recommend moving here if you live a fast-paced lifestyle. Also, the weather are too extreme to enjoy your time outdoors. But if like me, you’d prefer to spend your hours at home, then traffic shouldn’t be a huge hindrance.

Caloocan City is full of cheerful people. They are very friendly. There are two Caloocan City, the north and south. It is the motorcycle capital of the National Capital Region because there are so many vendors of motorcycle parts here. The policies and authorities here are working hard to maintain the safety of our city.

It is one of the cities that contributes a lot when it comes to manpower. and it is the motorcycle capital in the Philippines. Just like any other cities, people in Caloocan are very accommodating, they are very competitive in many ways. And according to some researches on the internet it has the most populated Barangay among the cities in the Philippines.

Caloocan City does not offer much, but access to different cities in Metro Manila is easier there with different terminals all around the city. To be fair, I have not yet explored my city as I tend to explore other cities more but what makes Caloocan a good place is the lesser cost of living expenses and lively atmosphere on every corner. I can guarantee you that a day in Caloocan won’t be as boring as the last city you lived in. Unless you lived in the middle of the state, of course.

Someone moving to my city should prepare for heavy traffic especially during rush hours, 7:00 am-9:00 am. Commuting back home starting 5 pm – 10 pm is also a huge challenge as you’ll have to wait long lines (waiting time: typically 1-2 hrs) before finally getting into a jeepney. Other things to watch out for are the narrow roads and the immense crowds of people. If you’re someone who can’t stand crowded places, you should reconsider your plan, because whether you’re just going out for a walk or have something to buy at the store, you’ll inevitably bump into these bulk of people. Due to the narrow roads in the city, pedestrians are strongly advised to be extra careful when crossing the streets or getting around the roads. This is strongly emphasized as more often than not, there are no designated sidewalks on the said areas around the city.

Here in Caloocan city, many people believe that this is a nostalgically noisy and fast-paced, hustler-filled city in the Philippines. That being said… it’s because traffic usually occurs during the busy days. And you’d probably expect a crowd whenever you’re going to go to a marketplace. You would see different kinds of vendors selling assorted things— like foods, affordable clothes, school or marketing supplies,, etc. Also, early in the morning, expect that there would already be a long line of commuters waiting for the next ride towards to their destination.

Caloocan City is one of the largest city in Metro Manila, subdivided to North and South. The city is has only only one Mayor, though it seems like divided. One can find markets, malls, schools and hospitals that are accessible. Transportation are easy because there are public utility vehicles one can choose from.

Caloocan City is a nostalgically nosy and fast-paced city. There are freeways and highways on buses and quite traffic. Tho, Caloocan City is also known for its Bonifacio Circle Monumento and Mister Kabab dish. There are 1. five million residents in Caloocan and I’ll tell you, moving to a new city can be a life changing.

Consider her lifestyle and work, since our city is far from the main city of workplace in the Philippines, which is the Makati. Also, he/she must consider the time he/she might consume during his/her travel due to heavy traffic in our country. Therefore, considering lifestyle and work will help her decide in choosing city where to move.

When moving to Caloocan city, one should consider the heavy traffic. It is important for those who will be commuting to work. Although the area could be full of traffic jams, it is a good place to build houses due to its high altitude. Flooding in this area is infrequent unlike other places in the metro.

If anyone moves here must be familiar in riding public utility vehicles and should be discerning in interacting with locals. Our city is big but with few skyscrapers. Hence going around will indeed require transit and unlike in other cities where people usually find their routes in reachable distances by foot, the city where I am in will require taking public transport to reach usual destinations like, markets, malls, banks and restaurants.

Living in Caloocan is challenging. It’s congested and some places are not safe to wander beyond midnight. People should always be aware and careful of their surroundings. one of the most challenging part in living in the city is traffic and the pollution.
