Someone considering moving to my city should know that it has a very loud and fast environment. The sidewalks are always flooded with many different people and the streets are constantly filled with cars. They should also know that my city isn’t the cleanest place on earth but it still has its beautiful sides too.

When moving to NYC, one should be prepared to deal with an unreliable subway system for transportation. Another factor that can affect your move to the City is the high cost of living. While New York City might inhibit someone from moving in, the diversity of such a city can compensate for all the troubles one might encounter.

Brooklyn is a large and diverse city. Certain areas are more safe than others, so I recommend doing your research before choosing a place. Make sure you visit Prospect Park for a day of leisurely bike rides or pleasant walks on beautifully wooded trails. Or bring a picnic to enjoy by one of the ponds.

Brooklyn is a borough of New York City and is often known as Kings county. It is the perfect area to live and to enjoy at a reasonable price compared to Manhattan. Brooklyn has the most exemplary nightlife for people in their 20s, also it has places like Coney Island where children can have fun in the amusement park, aquarium and the beach. The rents and the room cost is also affordable and the neighborhoods are also peaceful. The best part about living in Brooklyn or NYC, in general, is that you don’t have to worry about buying a car to go to places, the city has the best and most efficient public transport. Also, we have the finest variety of restaurants, cafes and bars which serve the most delicious food. Anyone who comes to Brooklyn will fall in love with the place at first sight!

I am from Brooklyn, New York. As a part of New York City, it is a very ethnically diverse place. My Chinese neighbors cook and give me food on their holidays, the Indian man who owns the bodega on my corner always greets me with a smile when he makes my breakfast sandwiches, my Dominican bus driver waits for me at the bus stop when I’m running a minute late. Everyone is extremely kind and we all embrace the differences among each other, making it an amazing place.

Brooklyn is a great place. It is rich in culture and diversity. Brooklyn can be quite expensive depending on which neighborhood you live. Transportation is quite accessible, and many residents do not own a vehicle. There are a large variety of shops, restaurants and museums to choose from.

When moving to NYC–Brooklyn specifically–having a metrocard is key. While plenty of people own cars and commute, it isn’t easy to find parking cheaply and with the alternate side parking regulations in effect. The easy way to get around when you live in Brooklyn, especially if you have to commute to Manhattan for work, is to take public transportation.

Living in Brooklyn requires one to frequently use public transit to get around. In many cases, it is easier to get from Brooklyn to Manhattan than it is to get from northern Brooklyn to southern Brooklyn. To do that, one must often ride multiple buses instead of a single train.
