How bad is traffic in Makati City, Metro Manila?

Makati is indeed a prime city. It is one of the best income generating cities in the Metro and has a lot to offer. There are malls and job opportunities everywhere. And one thing I like here, if you feel hungry in the middle of the night, there’s gotta be one right near you where you can get a bite of whatever you crave for. But what do you need to know if you are considering to move here? First off, get ready for traffic. If you’re a student or is currently working, you have to really get early to prepare and run to start your day on time. Second, if you are to rent here, make sure you are prepared for a big chunk of the payment being swiped out from your pocket every month. Truth be told, if your salary or budget is not that much, it will be hard to save here monthly. But of course, that’s up to you later on to play around with your budget and avoid making ends meet. Finally, if you wish to stay here for a long period of time, make sure to comply with the requirements of the city to take advantage of the benefits as one of what they call a “Makatizen”.

Being one of the major cities in the Philippines, Makati offers a lot of good stuff especially for transferees. One must however know that the City is known for its buzzling traffic and busy sidewalks, as most of the country’s major companies are located here. But that shouldn’t be a deal-breaker. The City has a lot of gimmicks that can cater various hobbyists, young and old.

Before moving to Makati, please note that the payment for renting a space is very expensive. Usually, the utility bills like water bill, electricity, and internet is not inclusive of your renting payment. Also, be patient as transportation system is not well organized and heavy traffic is always ahead of you. The city offers transportation system like jeepney, tricycle, MRT, bus, etc. Access to stores are not a problem because it is a highly urbanized area.

Makati City is a showcase of high rise buildings. It is the business district of Metro Manila. People in corporate attires swarm the streets everyday minding their own business rushing their way to work. Traffic is extreme in this area of the metro, so that, you should expect. One thing I could brag about this city are the establishments and restaurants right around every corner. Convenience and accessibility is not a problem in this city.

If someone would like to move to my city, there is a lot he/she should consider. One example is the bad traffic specifically during the rainy season. I would advise to get an apartment or unit walkable to their workplace, groceries, hospitals, etc. Dealing with traffic everyday is so tiring and horrible.

Makati is the central business district of the Philippines. Living in the city is comfortable because you can find everything you need here. The only thing you have to endure is the heavy traffic. You will always need to consider this when making plans especially during the weekends when everyone wants to go out.

The city is known for its Business City District where a lot of opportunities can be found. There are many nationalities found in this city. You will be able to find different kinds of authentic restaurants. Heavy traffic is one of the problems here because of the one way direction.

Consider moving to a house that is somewhat close to their job for traffic in here is bad. And in cases of them having children, it would be best to enroll them in public schools because the students will receive great benefits from the city which includes: free school supplies, uniform, books, and even a bag of groceries every Christmas.

Prepare for heavy traffic. Transportation in my city isn’t at its best; thus, one’s patience will surely be tested. Although this is a main problem the nightlife and clubs will not fail to disappoint you.

This city is notorious for having heavy traffic everywhere. Another thing that someone should consider is the pricing of housing/rental and general expenses. As I’ve said earlier, this city is one of the richest in the Philippines, so prices here are premium, especially when compared to neighboring cities like Manila or Pasig City.

Traffic should be a principal consideration before moving in Makati City. Due to the increasing number of people buying their own cars, the streets are getting a lot denser. As a piece of advice from a person who has lived and worked here for quite some time, find a place not too distant from your work. Other than that, everything is well here.

Makati is the business center of the country. Lots of commercial buildings stood there. Heavy traffic everyday that you need to be on the station an hour before your office or school time. There are lots of food parks street foods at night. As if the people never sleep. And you will really experience the Filipino hospitality we are proud of.
