How bad is traffic in Houston, Texas?

It is a city that is very spread out and you will need transport to move around and the traffic is so thick at rush hour and the weekend. As cost of living goes, it is a lot better than New York or Los Angels but you new a good income to live here. And lastly the people are not too friendly in the big cities of Texas, I don’t know my neighbors and I’ve never been in their houses and I have lived in my neighborhood for 8 years. The restaurants are great with many choices of cuisine.

Houston is known for it’s diversity and considered one of the best places to live in Texas due to it’s affordability. Before moving to Houston, it’s recommended that one has living arrangements ready and a vehicle with insurance, and gas ready, prior to moving here. While Houston does have a public transportation system, it’s very congested and not convenient for the type of distances between places. It’s also important to know how to navigate the tropical storms and floods that occurs every now and then. On the flip side, Houston tends to have a lower than average cost of living and is considered a food haven for any culture or palate.

My city is relatively big compared to others. It has many roads and travel always takes a few minutes at least, regardless of the destination. The highways are vast, long and somehow narrow. Traffic is always moderate, and cars are always piled up regardless of the time of day. Nevertheless, I adore my wonderful city.

When moving to Houston, TX, you must know that it is wild and wonderful place to live. Houston is big in culture, and big in personality! The people here are friendly and welcoming, but the traffic is the exact opposite. When going anywhere in this city, you must give yourself at least thirty minutes or more to travel on any highway. This ensures that you have a nice little buffer of time if you find yourself stuck behind any wise loads or accidents. All-in-all, Houston is a great city to raise your family.

In Houston, you can eat at Niko Niko’s, BB’s Tex-Orleans or at the Original Ninfa’s (Where fajitas were born). Houston has food from every culture and cuisine. Houston even has a festival every year honoring one culture or another to help people learn about food around the world. When people talk about Houston it is easily described as high traffic and hurricane prone. Hurricanes do not come every year and it is a lottery if one comes. Houston has the friendliest people. For a city of millions it tries to keep the hometown feel.

As beautiful as Houston may seem, please stay away. We are already overcrowded in this small, metal town. But, if you enjoy the smell of gasoline at eight am, the infestation of taco stands, and 105 degree weather, it could be for you! Just make sure to avoid the highway, okay? Oh, and all the Starbucks are overpriced.

Houston is a huge city with several surrounding suburban areas. The weather is hot but surprisingly cold in winter. Traffic is horrible during the school year. The cost of living is great. The price per square foot is unlike any other city. You will enjoy the living expenses compared to other cities.

Houston is a lovely city but be weary of 610 and 59 traffic between five and six o’ clock. All of the best food trucks are open late, one of my favorites is The waffle bus. If visiting, you have to stop by the famous waterfall and press the hidden red button.

The city is quite sprawling and diverse. Traffic is a major factor depending on what area you choose. We have a very modern Healthcare system. Wages are consistent with experience and tend to be typically lower than other states. A huge melting pot of cultures and people. A “foodie lover” paradise.

If a person moves to the city of Houston, it is important to note the immense amount of traffic that affects everyday travel. Houston has great cultural and historical appeal, and is a wonderful place to raise a family. The tropical weather should also be taken into consideration when deciding to move to Houston.

Upon moving to Houston, TX, know there is heavy traffic. You will need to leave a few hours early for your commute if you want to make it to work on time. Even on the weekend days of Saturday and Sunday, there will still be a significant amount of other people on the road that will take up a vast percentage of your time to get to your location.
