Davao City is one of the cleanest and most organized cities in the country. Strict rules are followed by its citizens. Like when crossing the road, you should only do so in a pedestrian lane. A “No Smoking” policy is implemented in public vehicles and in parks. Also, vehicle speed limits are strictly enforced.

Someone moving here should be able to handle traffic jams. He/She should be patient enough with the street children trying to beg for money.

Someone moving to Davao City must know that our city officials strictly implementing our City Ordinances. One of these, is the prohibition of public smoking, if you get caught, then you will be penalized. Another one, is traffic lights regulations especially when crossing down the road. Jaywalkers charged for penalty or must attend seminars. As other said, a happy community is composed with disciplined citizens.

The most important thing that a person should know before moving to Davao City is that traffic here is getting worse. It seems to me that a lot of people are coming to Davao City to live here, and most of them are in the middle-class social status. Our city has strict rules. Smoking in public is prohibited. You can only smoke in your own house. Also, if you have a car or plan to buy one, you must remember that the local government has reduced the speed limit to 30 kph within the downtown.
