My city, Kottayam is known for different names like “City of letters” and “City of latex”. It is the first fully literate district in India and is one of the two main tourist sites that offer backwaters. One speciality of my city is that most of the schools and churches are built by the British before independence. The first school, and the first arts-college in Kerala, reside in my city.

The weather is unpredictable. It can be raining in the morning and by evening it could be sunny. There are a lot of places to visit like museums and various cliff points. It’s a city of different type of foods and it should be experienced in various restaurants that are spread across the city. Make sure not to get lost in it.

Someone moving to my city should know regarding the basic cost of living in this area and shopping facilities available in the area. he/she should be aware about the local languages used and preferably should possess basic driving skills also. If interested, it is better to possess a route map regarding the important places associated with the work that one possess, if related to a job.
