Houston is a multicultural and inexpensive place to live in. It has it’s big city issues but also has the benefits with world class medical facilities, varied dining options and a relatively mild weather (summers can be humid and hot, though). Housing is still affordable and the suburbs have good school districts. Job and career opportunities are galore in multiple arenas. Not a touristy city, but has lots of attractions within a couple of hours. Overall, very livable.

Houston is thriving city full of culture, art, and beautiful parks and communities. If you love to explore, this is the city for you. Houston is the third largest city in the U.S., and you can’t go down a street without finding a new park, business, or adventure that will leave you feeling as though you’ve found a new treasure. The people and communities surrounding Houston are friendly and easy to talk to, you can learn so much from their cultures and lifestyles that within a couple years you’ve found a perfect cocktail of the lifestyle perfect for you.

The Livestock Show and Rodeo is the best place to be during the spring. Houstonians are always willing to give each other a hand. Houston has gone through many disasters but after every disaster people help each other. Harvey is one catastrophe that highlighted the loyalty Houstonians have. For example when many homes across the houston area were flooded Mattress Mack, furniture store owner, opened many of its locations as a shelter for those in need. Also during Harvey, dozens of Houston citizens helped their neighbors escape highwater using their jet skis to get through the flooded water.

Houston is home to a famous rodeo that takes place yearly. It is also home to a NASA site, as well as numerous parks and natural attractions. Over five million people call the city of Houston home and love it for its diversity and plethora of things to do, such as numerous concerts yearly.

Houston’s food scene is one of the most diverse I have ever experienced. With offerings such as Jamaican, Ethiopian and Tex-Mex, your palate will never bore. There are new restaurant openings every month which will offer endless options for date night, girl’s night or even a solo dining experience.

Houston is close to nature. It is not uncommon to see a 20-story building in Houston and in the lot next to it a herd of cows grazing for lunch. The city has grown around ranchers and farmers. This has allowed its busy residents a chance to be part of both the city world and the natural world. Houston has the big Houston Zoo and smaller animal keeps such as the one in Bear Creek Wildlife habitat Park. The bird population in Houston is phenomenal. Cardinals, Mockingbirds, Blue jays, Egrets, Robins, Finches, and even woodpeckers can be seen. With most of the suburban developments including lakes there have been sightings of flocks of pelicans, ducks, swans and Indian runners.

Houston is home to people from many different backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures, so it allows all of its residents the chance to experience different parts of the world without having to leave the greater Houston area. It also contributes to its resident’s sense of community by helping them find a group that is similar to their native background. It also allows people to connect over food from around the world. Houston has a vast array of natural scenes for its residents to enjoy. These include the country lands, a bayou, and the many parks and green areas found throughout the city.

Houston has diverse cultures, different aspects from several foreign countries, and great athletic teams. From art expression to the outdoor activities here there is never a dull moment. The local Graffiti Park has history painted all over from Houston legendary rappers to murals of professional teams. Many come here to simply consume the rich vibrant color from the art. In the heart of the city lies a huge park named Discovery Green which highlights the greenery inside the park. From the flowers to the fire hydrant painted to give the illusion of another absurd object it will have your head in circles trying to catch every detail.

Houston is the fourth most populous city and is a diverse city with many cultures. The city is a large metropolis, extending to Galveston Bay. Houston has a large Theater District downtown and is home to many upscale restaurants. Houston is also home to many major sports leagues, including the MLB Houston Astros, NFL Houston Texans and NBA Houston Rockets.

Houston caters to everyone and their identity. Houston has a little something for everyone, whether it be the art murals downtown or tailgating at the Texans games. One of Houston’s biggest attractions is the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that takes place every year. This event is something most Houstonians look forward to because of the diverse food options, variety of music choices and the carnival. Houston is diverse when it comes down to food options. Wherever you find yourself in Houston there will certainly be a variety of national food cuisine to be offered.

Houston has big money oil and gas businesses. Houston has Houston Rockets, who have not won a championship since the mid 90’s the Houston Texans, and diversity that most of the state hasn’t seen. Downtown there are authentic Thai and Vietnamese restaurants, an aquarium with the large ferris wheel and the Minute Maid park and Toyota Center. While the NBA team may not have been able to get any more rings since 1994 and 1995, it is still full of superstars. From the Beard and Brodie, Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker, and the Rockets Managements, it’s clearly an excellent team.

If moving to the city of Houston, I think it is important to know three things: Galveston Island is 45 miles away, the Astros is the most important baseball team, and NASA has cows that live on the property called “space cows.” My favorite thing about living in Houston is there are really great restaurants everywhere.

Houston is an up and coming city with a population that is growing quickly. The immense geographic size of the city provides both residents and visitors with endless options for dining and activities. the diversity present draws many Asians, Mexicans, and Indians to the city. Home to the University of Houston, Houston Community College, and Texas Medical Center, education plays a large role in shaping Houston into the bustling, motivational city that it is.

Houston is a large city with a diverse population. The cost of living in Houston is very low, compared to other large cities such as New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. The weather is relatively warm throughout the year, but can be very humid in summer. The city is not very suited for walking or biking, so getting around the city will require driving.

Houston is the a thriving metropolis. A visitor can do anything from wine and food tastings, museum visits, and movies theaters. There is a large community of Art Cars with the largest Art Car Parade in the world yearly where visitors can see cars, bikes, and people decorated in the most glorious fashion.

Houston is a very diverse city with countless career opportunities. In regards to entertainment, there are multiple professional and college sports teams. If food is your interest, there are also numerous restaurants and food trucks at your disposal. The opportunities are endless for anyone who wants to move to Houston and enjoy all of the benefits that are here.

Houston is the home of one of the best medical centers in the world. Our theater district and opera are world-renowned. The museum district is diverse in its own right. The Livestock Show and Rodeo is my favorite event of the year. The fairs are always fun and exciting.

It is very hot in Houston. I would live in a house with lots of air-conditioning. There are lots of things to do in Houston like, going to NASA, visiting parks, or visiting the restaurants like, Taste of Texas or Saltgrass. It is also very humid and can rain a lot so I recommend bringing a jacket.

Houston is a culturally diverse and incredibly interesting city, albeit aesthetically underwhelming. There is a wealth of delicious restaurants to be found on nearly every block, as well an extensive amount of parks and green space to break up the monotony of gray concrete building sat every turn. Houston is a vibrant, unique, and exciting city; it is a remarkable place, with its mix of people and cultures all coming together to create an individually distinctive yet cohesive living experience.
