El Paso is a border town, holding open arms to Hispanic culture. The city displays the culture around to others, with no shame or doubt. Mariachis and Folklorico dancers are taught at many schools, and there are festivals to showcase the culture.

El Paso is and always has been very friendly. When you first encounter our city, it may seem oblivious to everything and everyone. But if the time comes that a neighbor, or any city resident, needs help, then the warmth and caring of El Pasoans comes out. We are finally starting to become more cultural. Things that I never saw when I was a child I now get to see — like theater, opera, outdoor activities, etc.
