Taal is known a the heritage town of Batangas. It has well-preserved historical places such as the house of Marcela Agoncillo, the Taal Basilica, the Shrine of Our Lady of Caysasay and the house of Leon Apacible among others. The people of Taal are warm and hospitable, making every visitor feel at ease and at home.

Our city has the biggest church in Asia, the Basilica of Saint Martin of Tours. It is one of the oldest cities on the Philippines where proof of Spanish life can be seen until now. Taal Volcano, the second most active volcano in the country is also located and was actually named after our city.
