Mostly established homes. 3 bedroom townhome end units start around $420,000 but most ~$530,000

If you are moving to Springfield, VA, know that it is a short commute to Washington D.C. Many military families live here. Housing prices are high. Schools are very good. Facebook communities for the Springfield area are the best place to get a feel for the area. Because of the transient nature of the community, people tend to keep to themselves until a connection is established through neighbors, kids, sports, etc. The park and recreation system here is excellent. Public transit is also very good. You will have to travel towards D.C. to eat at any type of upscale restaurant.

Springfield is very peaceful and modern. There is a lot of places that you can relax after working or studying for example walking in the parks, fishing in the rivers, boating in the lakes. If you are a young active person, Springfield also brings to you many activities to play with friends.

Springfield is a suburb in Northern Virginia. Its close proximity to DC, Baltimore, and Richmond make it an ideal location for working professionals to live while children have access to the highly regarded Fairfax County Public School System. The Springfield Interchange provides commuters with access to I-495, I-395, and I-95, and for public transit users, there is a subway station and a large network of buses.

The top attraction that I’ve known visitors to enjoy in Springfield is Lake Accotink. It’s a network of trails and parks lining a 55-acre lake for which the park is named. It’s a spectacular venue for biking, hiking, barbeques, and picnics. Additionally, while the Springfield Town Center is not the largest mall in Virginia, it has one of the best locations. This is because of its several highways, metro station, and proximity to DC.
