Split is a beautiful city located on a peninsula. The most important reason why people enjoy living here is the amazing warm weather and the crystal clear see. Despite being a big city, it’s not too busy, the traffic is not bad and most people nurture a “chill” kind of lifestyle. Drinking coffee on the sun with friends is people’s favorite pastime. Because of it being a very popular tourist place, you can enjoy many events and festivals during the year, especially in summer. An important thing to note about people from Split is that they are very open, honest, loud and joke around a lot – sometimes it might seem that they are being mean but it’s just their way of showing love.

Split is the second-largest city in Croatia and the largest city in Dalmatia, region on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea. Split is the most famous for Diocletian’s palace. Diocletian was a Roman emperor who built this beautiful palace in 305 AD for vacation purposes. As history went on and people started to moving near and in the palace, the whole city emerged and after 1700 years it still stands proudly.
