Someone moving to Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico should realize that it is a little more expensive than other parts of Mexico, because it is a growing city with many international businesses. However, it is also one of the safest and most well-maintained areas in the country. Even though the weather is moderate, one should take good care of the skin because the sun is strong and there are not many trees to deflect its rays. The food is delicious, but be aware that it may cause some stomach problems when you first move here!

Consider climate changes as these are usually from one extreme to the other, one minute is raining and the next one the heat is unbearable, another point to consider is this is an industrial city, with a lot night activity for young and college people who is why costs are low in some of the recreational centers.

Querétaro is a beautiful colonial town in the center of México. It’s only two hours from Mexico City by car and four hours from Guadalajara, the next biggest city in the country. There are some important vineyards around the city and you can also visit the city center if you like going to museums and admire colonial architecture.
