Meridian, while not a large city, has a varied selection of entertainment, eateries, and public spaces that create a lively atmosphere. MSU Riley Center is a performing arts theatre.

Before moving to Meridian, Mississippi, one should know the crime level is high. The city never seems to progress. It’s been getting worse as the years go by. The town is also extremely small.

Anyone moving to Meridian should know the rent tends to be high, especially near the center of town. They should also be aware that the violent crime rate is higher than average for a city of this size. There is not much to do here for amusement, and the majority of employment in this town is based on service jobs and the hospitality industry.
