If you are someone considering to move into Manila you should know the following:

1. Live near where you’ll work – That would be the best since Manila has the worst traffic. So the less time you spend on your commute, the better your life will be.

2. Commute and Public Transportation – In the event that you will need to commute going from and to your workplace, you need to be early if you don’t want to be late on your work and/or be the cause of delay if you have any important event/schedule that you need to attend to, since it’s pretty hard to do daily commute especially if you don’t have your own car.

3. Internet Connection. You should also do a bit of research regarding internet connectivity in the area where you choose to settle. Areas where telecoms offer high speed internet (50mbps and above) are limited, so you might want to take that into consideration.

4. Be mindful of your belongings – I’m not saying that it is not safe to roam around manila, but you must be vigilant, observant and alert at all times to prevent any unlikely incident like pick-pocketing, snatching, etc.

5. Prepare for hot and rainy weather. All that concrete makes the city oppressively hot, and when the humidity kicks in, it’s even worse. Make sure you hydrate and carry sunblock. Again, where you live will go a long way. On the other hand, you’ll need a good waterproof jacket, preferably something light. It may be raining, but it might still get hot if you’re wearing heavy clothing. An umbrella’s suitability in Manila is short, and it won’t be of any help if you’re caught in horizontal winds. Some good waterproof shoes, sort of buying rubber boots, will go a long way when the streets are covered in puddles.

Manila is one of the busiest cities in the Philippines. It has many tourist attractions and you can always walk alone even at night as the city is full of street lights. Manila is a big city you can whatever you wanted to do, you can stay wherever you want there were many cheap hotels in the city you just need to walk and walk enjoy the view.

In our city, we have beautiful places and kind hearted people. Also, there are many tourist spots. Whoever comes here will not get bored. And our city is very safe. There’s so many CCTV cameras and patrolling police.

The people considering to move in my city should know proper manners. They should be able to talk considerately with people. They should also know how to speak Tagalog because most of our people have very low English comprehension. They should also wear smile in their faces. Most Filipinos are good people, so you don’t need to worry about your security.

Manila is a great place for expats, the food is cheap and the neighbors are friendly, depending on where you live. The government however is as corrupt as the sky is blue. Filipinos in general are kind, but you have to be aware that most of them will steal if opportunity is given.

For accommodations, there are a variety of residential types, depending on your budget. Generally, those that are in the middle to rich type of accommodations are safer, but there are also a lot of ‘for-poor’ accommodations.

Manila is the capital of the country. Manila is a populated city and a bit dangerous if you don’t have enough knowledge about it, but you can also find very friendly people here. it’s not always about the bad side, for as long as you are knowledgeable about everything, then you are good to go.

Be cautious with their things and never to leave their things unattended, for there are many thefts in our city. Despite these troubles, the people in our city are quite hospitable and would be willing to help your troubles, for we enjoy the feeling of helping other people.

If moving to and or visiting Manila, you should be wary of traffic and or safety regulations to avoid having future inconveniences in the future. Also, one must be vigilant of people in the surroundings due to a high number of individuals, especially in markets and or malls. one must throw any type of trash in a correct trash bin to maintain the cleanliness of the city itself.

Someone moving to Manila must know that it is a very busy and crowded place. There are tall buildings everywhere and a lot of public and private transportation. Manila is the most populated place in my country since most of the places are rural. However, even though it’s the busiest place because it’s very commercialized, there are still a lot of homeless people everywhere and it’s dangerous.

In Manila, one should expect heavy traffic all the time and that the city is overpopulated. Also, it can be very dangerous at night and it is important to be observant all the time but overall I enjoy living here because I have my freedom and its convenient.

You must know that my city has a large population. It is good to note that there will be a lot of noise in it. However, most people are good, and most could speak English. Just remember to be careful when walking in the street. My city is famous for a high crime rate.

Manila is reclaiming its position as the cultural center of the Philippines thanks to the efforts of Mayor Isko Moreno in cleaning the streets of trash, prohibited vendors, street kids, and crimes; and installing fixtures that remind us of the old glory of the city. Location is perfect for traveling to other major cities in Metro Manila such as Makati, Quezon City, and Mandaluyong, as these can be reached in less than 30 minutes. There are so many colorful districts in Manila where one can enjoy shopping, entertainment, and history.

An individual moving here must be receptive of various cultural practices to appreciate and adapt to the physical and emotional environment being offered by the country. Pursuing this further, sense of belonging will come from the initiative to learn about the city itself to hone familiarity and security. As Manila is the capital of the Philippines, the individual can expect businesses such as local markets and restaurants, which are significantly must-visits!
