Lusaka has a very diverse weather that tends to be very hot during the day and cold during the night. Also, be security conscious as you walk around at night. It might not be the safest city to roam around past 8 pm. In general, Lusaka is known to be a very accommodative with lots to offer ranging from local to internationally produced products.

Crime rates are very low. Affordable accomodation in various affluent or upmarket areas. Improved road networks, though traffic build up is a frequent occurrence due to some ongoing construction works. Amenities in various areas are within reach with a number of modern shopping malls distributed around the town. High quality local and international schools provide a plethora of choices for school going children.

One must consider that there is a lot of traffic during rush hour, there are many crooked individuals lurking at every dark alley, police officers who will only do their job when bribed and above all, politicians willing to take advantage of anyone for their benefit, before moving to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.

One has to ensure their home is well secured, as theft happens on a regular basis. The people are very friendly and helpful. Cost of living will be much less than first world countries, obviously, but entertainment and activities will be far less. We do have more socialising among friends, taking turns to entertain at home.
