If you are moving to Muzaffarpur, do not experiment with cheap hotels on your first visit. You can find almost everything around city centers at a walking distance, so do not opt for an auto as they charge more, unless necessary. The traffic is bad in the morning and afternoon, especially during school times. People do not have “to-let” boards, so keep asking general stores for help. You can find a good house anywhere between 3-5k, but they are mostly unfurnished or semi-furnished at the maximum.
