The ancient city of Kano is the most populated city in Nigeria, and an epicentre of commerce with businesses and trades spanning from banking, transport, education and health which has proven to be a great opportunity for investors and marketers. There is a cultural mix of residents including foreigners dwelling in mutual understanding in the city, although Kano is dominantly an Islamic state with 90% of residents being Muslims.

Kano city is the capital of Kano State. The city is home to one of the ancient Emirates in the country, which holds the dubar ceremonies twice a year, signifying the two Eid celebrations. The city consist of people from different religious backgrounds and races, living in harmony.

It’s a peaceful environment with friendly people and it’s also easy to get by daily. You’d also find that the pricing on items are cheap compared to other cities in the region too. But the people here are a bit particular about their religious practices so I’d advise you respect their religion an culture and all will be alright.
