Jamnagar is a city on the western coast of India. It was formerly known as ‘Brass City’, since it houses more than 5,000 large-scale and 10,000 small-scale workshops manufacturing brass items. Jamnagar has the largest production of brass items in the country. Jamnagar is ‘World’s Oil City’ because the world’s biggest oil refineries, belonging to Reliance Industries and Nayara Energy, are here. Jamnagar has base stations of all three wings of Defence: the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, and Indian Navy. The Bala Hanuman Temple is known for the continuous 24-hour chanting of the mantra ‘Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram’, since one August 1964. This devotion has earned Bala Hanuman Temple a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
