Haridwar is a beautiful city on the banks of river Ganga. The pollution free air makes you feel relaxed and calm. Being described as a holy place, a large of number of devotees come here to to take a dip in the river Ganga as it is known to cleanse the sin of the people who take dip in it.

“Haridwar” is made up of two Hindi words “hari” which means lord and “dwar” which means “door”. Haridwar Means doorway to the land of lords. Haridwar is one of the holy place in India from river Ganges flows. Taking bath in the river Ganges is considering to free anyone from all their life’s sins. Therefore, anyone visiting my city may consider taking bath themselves.

Haridwar is the city of god. It it close to the nature and you will find greenery and love. Being a religious place it is also a well developed and industrialised city and in progress to becoming a modern city. It has people of around all over the country and a place for people to come and worship.

Haridwar is a place of temples. A spiritual person will love this place. It’s a small city so less cab facilities but other means of transports are available here. Haridwar is famous for a place called “Har Ki Pauri”, each person who comes here to this place.

It is a holy city which is near holy Ganga river. Additionally it provides pleasant climate with lot of greenery. It has ample of transportation facilities available like Railways, Bus-Stand or Airport nearby. Most importantly, tourist influx is always on higher side. People visit Har Ki Pauri and ancient temples.

The city is on the right bank of the Ganga (Ganges) river, at the foothills of the Shivalik ranges. It is regarded as a holy place for Hindus, hosting important religious events and serving as a gateway to several prominent places of worship. Most significant of the events is the Kumbh Mela, which is celebrated every 12 years in Haridwar. It is just like another heaven on Earth.
