If you are moving to Pretoria you need to be prepared to run the rat race. We call Pretoria our home for 30 years now but are prepared to move to somewhere slower. We will miss the beautiful purple Jacarandas in October, our dear friends and kids that want to stay in the city. Lots to do, much to see and very nice weather.

We have reliable public and private transportation, so getting around should be easy. There are a lot of entertainment spots and malls for shopping and dining.

Someone moving to Pretoria, should be really prepared to be in a large environment. Pretoria has nice purple trees called Jacaranda trees and they normally bloom between October and November. Pretoria is divided into 5 different sections. Namely Pretoria North, South, East, West, and Central Pretoria. It also has a lot of recreational environments and tourist attractions.

English is not our home language. We have 11 official languages, and you would have to know at least one native language to succeed here. The food here is delicious, so don’t worry about takeaways. Bring your gun, as hunting is very common. And lastly, do remember to bring your smile. Most people here are happy, and we expect you to be joyful.

Pretoria is known as the Jacaranda city. This is because most of the streets are lined with jacaranda trees. If you have allergies, then this would not be the ideal city for you. It is possible, however, to still enjoy the sights of the city as long as you take your allergy medicine.

My city is a very busy and loud city. People around here are helpful in any way possible. We are united since the city is not huge so in most cases people know one another. Going for shopping won’t cost you since the shopping mall is around the area. It’s a very good area to live in.

Pretoria is known for its vibrant amapiano sounds which has had a massive influence on national music. The Kasi lifestyle gave birth to the language of “Sipitori”, which incorporates Sepedi and SeTswana dialects. The party scene is insane and attracts patrons from all over neighbouring Johannesburg and Polokwane.

Pretoria is beautiful, vibrant and has a fun colorful culture. All the embassies are found here. We have the reserve bank and union buildings, it is also known as the city of Tshwane. We have a vibrant Pretorian language called “sipitori”

This place has many place for tourism and including nice malls to go shopping, Pretoria is a nice place to live in as there are many thing to do and enjoy from. We have lots of restaurants and clubs for entertainment. We also boast of a number of theatres and museums around the city. It is a safe and clean environment to be in.

Pretoria generally has quiet residential areas and is not a very busy city. There are many job opportunities available, especially at shopping centers. Pretoria central is where the townships are whereas Pretoria East, West and North are mainly suburban areas. Pretoria East is one of the least busy and loud areas.

My city is famous for having Jacaranda trees. Our traffic can get hectic during peak hours in the morning and at sunset, but it’s a quiet city overall. The accommodation is quite reasonable all over Pretoria and if you’re one for the nightlife then this is the place to be.

Know the amount of pollen released in spring due to the Jacaranda trees. The person should also know the taxi fare, in case of emergency. They should be street smart. When in town they should not look as if they feel unsafe, they will be targeted. Act natural.

You will find that Soshanguve, which is the township I reside in, mean “Sotho, Shangaan, Nguni and Venda”, which is all the languages spoken in Pretoria. The houses in Pretoria are not only spacious inside but they have big yards; if you would like to host parties or would like your children to have an area within the house to play this is definitely the city for you. The Jacaranda trees bloom in Spring which is absolutely breathtaking.

In the winter it is not as cold as most cities; however, slight wind may occur in the early mornings. The summers are the most exciting, as people do all out in terms of fashion as well as events (parties, etc). In the winter, although it is a bit cold, the flowers are the most beautiful.

It is the city with the most economic activity and it is very vibrant and beautiful too. It also has a very warm and pleasant climate. The union buildings is also found in this city and this is where the President of the Republic of South Africa resides and where his offices are.

For someone who wants to reside in Pretoria, I would say that they are going to enjoy it. Pretoria is a vibrant city with different activities to participate in such as visiting the Pretoria zoo, going to big malls such as Menlyn and Mall of Africa. It can be very busy for someone who is not used to a big city but nonetheless it is a very welcoming place.

For people moving to Pretoria, it is important to get street smart. The city is fast-paced and one needs to be able to keep up. Pretoria Central is the best place for finding fresh fruits and veggies at an affordable price. Get acquainted with the signs for raising down a taxi, it helps a lot.

Pretoria is known mostly for groove, clean big shopping centres and the blooming jacaranda trees. I would definitely recommend to someone who wants a clean vibey environment. There are different cultures and tribes but it is not really noticeable. There are also so many different residential areas according to vast pay scales.

He or she must know that houses are more costly in my city and the employment market is very friendly to everyone. You can get a job easily. The cost of living in my city is too high, you’ll have to be able to make all ends meet before you can officially move into the city.

We have cold dry winters and wet sunny summers. The people who live in the areas are also so friendly.

They should also know that weather conditions here are very humid so they should ensure that they always have sunscreen on and have a water bottle at all times to stay hydrated.

You are going to experiencing different group ethics, there is a huge diverse amount of people in the my city hence we are called a rainbow nation. The rich history still lives among the people of the country so you’re bound to learn it and hopefully find an interest in it.

We also have the union buildings in this city where president are sworn into office. The longest street in all cities in the country also belong to my city, the Stanza Bopape street!

They must be aware of thefts when walking around in the main town, other than that my city is a very great city for tourists, hikers, etc. There’s also a variety of great restaurants which offers traditional food and modern food. We have a variety of nature reserves and game reserves that they can visit.

It is a fun city to be in, has a great aura and great opportunity for growth. It is known for some of its museums, parks and resorts. It is also popularly known for the jacaranda tree, which colours the city during Spring. Furthermore, Pretoria is a vibrant city and has unique and fresh talent.

Pretoria is a very loving and caring city. In most parts of Pretoria, for example the bigger parts like Montana, Doornpoort, etc. are kept very clean. Pretoria is also known as the heart of Gauteng. The weather here is amazing in the winter; it’s not too cold. Summer is not to hot.

It’s a very clean place but can very noisy on weekdays. I love the fact that you literally can find anything that you want. All the shops that you need are close, including public service departments. There’s a lot a of crime though, so you need to be vigilant at all times.
