Portsmouth is a historic seaport town with deep military roots. Home to the oldest Naval Hospital, oldest Naval Shipyard, and the Coast Guard’s Atlantic Fleet Command. Old Town is the best part of the city – very walkable, good restaurants and things to do.

Portsmouth, with its sprawling meadows and hard working people, is a superb location to retire, relocate, or settle down with a family. The historic homes and cobblestone streets are rich with history. Taxes are considerably low while school quality is high. Beautiful views of neighboring Norfolk draw you to the Elizabeth River lining the streets of downtown.

Portsmouth is a small city that has many activities for children and adults. It is a waterfront community with many opportunities for outdoor fun. Local artists are showcased in a yearly art show held in the Olde Town section of the city. The highly recognized Children’s Museum offers interactive stations for children of all ages.
