Know how to deal with forever changing weather. They should be able to speak at least 2 languages because there are about 5 languages spoken in the city. Also, they should be able to tolerate wild animals because we have so any monkeys roaming around the streets. It is a beautiful city and they would love it so much.

Port Shepstone is quiet small city with little activities during the year. This all changes during the festive season as it’s filled with holiday makers who bring the city back to life. The one special thing about this place for me is that we hardly get any cold weather and the beaches are beautiful.

Port Shepstone is vibrant and energetic. A person moving here would need to know that they are safe and that help is always just a shout away. They would also need to know to bring their costume because we have beautiful beaches here on the coast.

Port Shepstone is on the South Coast of Southern Africa where warm beaches and even warmer citizens reside. It’s a small, yet peaceful community and for anybody visiting they need not hesitate as they would be made to feel welcome regardless of whatever culture, creed, ethnicity or race. It is a majestic site to watch the sun rise over the sea each morning and then tuck away for another beautiful day to come.

Anyone moving to Port Shepstone should consider the weather. We experience tropical climate along our coast line throughout the year. Another factor to take into consideration is the relaxed and slow paced lifestyle which renders our city as an ideal retirement destination.

Port Shepstone is a beautiful, busy town. Port Shepstone is in South Africa. It is 120 km from the city, Durban. We are fortunate that we have the ocean on our doorstep. The streets are clean and we have a lot of stores that carry a variety of goods. There are good schools available for those who have children. The people of Port Shepstone are friendly and helpful. There are blue flag beaches about 10 km away. Port Shepstone is the perfect town to live and have a family.

It is a small, quaint seaside village. We do not have the modern conveniences of city living but what we lack in infrastructure, we make up for personal care and love for our neighbours. You will need to be able to drive, there is no public transport. We have many art and craft societies to keep you busy.
