Peterborough, Ontario, is one of the most special little cities in Canada. We have very low crime, access to lakes and rivers, low house prices and so much more. One of my favourite parts of Peterborough is the Quaker Oats building, which smells like maple brown sugar in summer if the wind is blowing in the right direction.

Someone moving to Peterborough, Ontario should know it is a great place it live. The downtown is home to a variety of restaurants and shops, and is located next to a beautiful lake. Various events are held annually, such as food and beer festivals, which attract locals and tourists. Peterborough is about two hours from Toronto by car, and frequent bus routes make commuting easy for those working outside the city.

Peterborough is known for its beautiful natural areas. Our waterways are clean and accessible, and we have miles of trails for biking or walking. We also have a vibrant restaurant and cafe scene, and our arts community is always active. We boast a world-class college and university, which adds to the vibrancy of the city.
