Nature is La Crescenta’s next door neighbor, with waterfall hikes and a beautiful botanical garden bringing in people from cities all over. Hollywood is a twenty minute drive. JPL is a couple blocks down. La Crescenta provides an opportunity to see a personal side in impersonal aspects of a normal city. From going to get a frappe at Starbucks to turning over organic fruit at the weekly farmers market, mindless small talk turns into meaningful, long-lasting relationships. The hospital in town is USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.

Montrose is the “downtown” of La Crescenta. A street lined with diverse, ethnic restaurants and shops catered for every age and interest, there is an abundance of activities to do with friends and family. Montrose is a place reminiscent of Hollywood, as many tv shows and movies have been filmed at this very street — “Glee”, “Parks and Recreation”, and “Grey’s Anatomy” to name a few.
