Norwich is a wonderful place. It is steeped in history, and for a time it was considered the second city of England behind London. This history is readily visible by way of the tens of cathedrals that can be found in all corners of Norwich. Equally, among the 100s of pubs in Norwich are some which date from the 1100s.

If moving to Norwich be aware that it is a very fine city. The local people are both welcoming and friendly. There are as many pubs as there are churches, so plenty of culture is to be found in the vicinity. One should also be aware that once one moves to Norwich it is awfully difficult to leave.

Norwich is a beautiful historic city in the East of England with a vibrant social scene. There are numerous pubs and restaurants to suit any taste. The city is also only a two-hour drive from London and a starting point for cruises on the world-famous Norfolk Broads. It is also popular with international students thanks to the University of East Anglia in picturesque surroundings.

There are a lot of churches here, but it’s a gorgeous city. It rains a lot, even though it’s more Southern than Northern. Norwich is apparently the city of tales – or so they say – but I stand that it’s closer to the city of pubs… You can’t go 100 meters in town without seeing one.

Norwich is a historic city, in the eastern county of Norfolk. There are two cathedrals here – which is rare for any city – although one is much more famous and more frequently visited than the other. The compact centre of the city contains the oldest covered market in the country, and a fine castle, two shopping malls and many other, local, shops. At one time, although many have now been closed or converted, there were 52 churches (one for every Sunday) and 365 pubs (for daily of the year!). A number of famous people have lived in or around Norwich, including the wonderfully intelligent and humorous Stephen Fry, and the famous chef and restaurateur Delia Smith. The fantastic, long, wide, sandy beaches of Norfolk are all very accessible, as are many historic properties – including the Sandringham Estate where the Queen and her family often reside. Whilst transport to the north of England is a little cumbersome, there is good and easy transport by road and rail to London, and Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton airports.

The city or Norwich is small compared to others, but it is beautiful, inspirational and full of colour. Norwich has an excellent football team of which made it into the Premier league this season. Life moves slowly in Norwich; I find it to be awfully quiet, at times. However, the people are amiable, there is a plethora of fine public houses and restaurants, and the market has all sorts of colourful trinkets. Generally, I should take care to recommend that the west and central city are most pleasant, while the rest should be avoided.
