Not the best city to grow kids. Schools are bad. Crime is on higher side. Bear and Middletown are great. Delaware has some nice beaches though.

Newark, Delaware, is a wonderful city for a family to settle down in. Newark is in the northern part of Delaware, so this city is near the nationally-acclaimed Christiana Mall. This city is very diverse in ethnicities, and there are many fun attractions here. You can visit historic Main Street, The Main Event, and The University of Delaware (where Joe Biden attended school). Also, the state of Delaware doesn’t have sales tax.

Newark is a suburb of Philadelphia with a population of 33,352. Newark is in New Castle County and is one of the best places to live in Delaware. Living in Newark offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Newark there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals live in Newark and residents tend to have moderate political views.

I love Newark. There are 18 different bars and restaurants, and like Philly we too have an all you can eat Brazilian Steakhouse. Working in Wilmington, there are three options for travel: The SEPTA, the bus, or drive in and pay for parking. There are plenty of people of all walks living here and making friends should be easy if you try.
