While the boll weevil infestation and the Enterprise tornado don’t singlehandedly define Enterprise, they laid much of the foundation for our city’s unmatched work ethic and progressiveness that underlies the “city of progress” motto. There is always something new being built. Whether it’s new restaurants, new homes, or new green spaces, one thing that rings true is the commitment to progress and becoming a better city. More than just adding to the city, the motto inspires individuals to become better people each day as well through service, leadership, and character.
