I am living in Minglanilla it is a town in the Southern part of Cebu. There are beautiful places to visit in this place. There are hidden waterfalls, a man made forest and during holy week our place is famous of the so called Sugat Kabanhawan. This is celebrated during Easter Sunday.

Minglanilla is known for being the “Sugat Capital of the South” because of their most creative celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. It consists of street dancing, and festival dance contests. It showcases the talents of the students and stakeholders yearly. As a teacher in this place, we take part in helping during the practices and rehearsals since our students are a part of this celebration.

The town of Minglanilla is a small yet crowded town, the town is small but the people there make up for the small area’s. Minglanilla is between the city and province, but there are few small businesses and malls within reach. You can travel from the province to the city with little time and effort.

Someone moving to Cebu City should be wary of ill-willed people as they run rife. Like every city, Cebu City also has its good attributes including fun festivals and sprawling food kiosks. The main festival of this city its Sinulog which takes place on the third Sunday of January. Food kiosks offer a variety of food from sweet treats like ‘biko’ to more exotic ones, namely ‘dinuguan’.

Tunghaan Minglanilla is a peaceful and comfortable place. marketplaces and malls are convenient to people in the said place. People there share the same culture and tradition which makes the place a harmonious and pleasant one. in Minglanilla, there is what we call “Kabanhawan” which is celebrate annually in honor for the Risen Christ or what we call “Resurrection of Christ”.

Minglanilla is a town close to an hour’s drive from the capital of Cebu. It is well-known for its religious tradition called “Sugat” during the Lenten Season, as Minglanilla showcases a very ornate and grand presentation of the religious practice. However, Minglanilla is the only town between cities, which makes its economic stability and progress still on a lower tier than its neighbors.
