While it can be a nice place to live when you retire, I would not recommend moving here if you are young or middle-aged. Also don’t move here if you are a single person. The nice ones here are already taken. Given how small the town is, the dating pool is shallow. The weather is alwaya humid, whether it’s hot or cold. It’s mostly hot here throughout the year. Given the humidity, people with autoimmune diseases might have a tough time here. Rent is very affordable, but in contrast, jobs are scarce and salaries are among the lowest in the country.

Margate is a small town on the eastern coast of South Africa. Beautiful beaches surrounded by lush vegetation can be found all along the coast. Tiny villages with stunning swimming, diving and snorkeling spots can be found driving down the beach hugging roads. People are friendly and partying spots care around every corner.

Margate is a holiday destination with an endless summer, where you can walk on the beach with family and your dogs, and embrace life daily! In this city you can connect with nature, release pressure and relax often. Life is beautiful here.
