If you’re moving to Margate. It’s a small city about 30 minutes from Fort Lauderdale. There is public transportation; however the easiest way to get around is by car. Everything you need is 5 minutes away – grocery stores, clothing shops, doctors, restaurants/bars. There’s a small town vibe and people are friendly. Housing, like most places, can be pricey. Most 1 bedroom apartments cost between 1800 – 2300 per month. Housing is mostly pet friendly; however, some places do have breed restrictions. It’s a pretty nice, quiet, convenient place to live!
