Locally, people speak bisaya language and is mostly fishermen. General Santos City is the Tuna capital of the Philippines. We live in a place where we are surrounded by seas. People here speak Ilonggo, Bisaya, or Tagalog but mostly, people here are multi speakers. Sometimes tagalog-bisaya or tagalog-ilonggo. Everyone here is friendly and nice.

General Santos City is considered the melting pot of the south. This is because of the number of diversified people you will meet here, diversified in terms of religions, ethnicity, and the language or dialect spoken. Even with these differences, everyone lives in harmony. Our city promotes unity in diversity.

General Santos City is the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. Our city has the most unique language because speak both in Tagalog and English. People will have a greater opportunity and privilege to work with high paying job. We have a market called palengke where every affordable prices of different kinds fishes can be found.
