Lalitpur is an overpopulated city and there’s scarcity of water. But there’s electricity 24/7. And other infrastructure like roads, education is all good. Transportation services is good as well. And local residents are very kind and caring so, there will not be any problem while moving here.

Someone moving to Lalitpur must know about the famous sites, such as the Krishna Mandir in Mangal Bazaar. To reside here, knowing basics of the Newari or Nepali language is a preferred. Respect toward the elders will gain good points. With all the good things, one must also be aware of the bad, like air and sound pollution. It is better for your health to wear masks when going out and caring about hygiene when buying food outside, lest you have stomach problems or other health issues.

Lalitpur is the most ancient city in Nepal. With the historic monuments in the valley, major earning of the city has been from tourism business. Many restaurants and, bed and breakfast apartments have been in operation since while targeting the increased number of visitors. This has benefited the local residents but have increased the cost of living for newcomers.

Lalitpur is rich in culture as it dates back to ancient history. It is beautiful but quite crowded. There is a possibility of being stuck in a traffic jam during work hours. The people here are quite friendly and easy to get along with. The rent could be quite high depending upon the locality.
