Lakewood is nestled between the urban center of Denver and the outdoor recreation of Colorado’s mountains: if one travels west, he or she will end up in the mountains where there is prime hiking and nature watching; if one travels east, he or she will end up in Denver where there is the buzz of city life and fantastic dining options.

Lakewood, Colorado, is a short drive west to the breathtaking Rocky Mountains and an even shorter drive east to the exciting city of Denver. Hiking and other outdoor activities are extremely popular, so lovers of nature are in their instinctive element. Be aware, though; because of the nature-based energy of the city and of Colorado in general, most outdoor spaces are frequently crowded. Nonetheless, Lakewood is a welcoming city filled with small businesses, cultural centers, parks, and random but authentic conversations with smiling strangers.
