Houston is a multicultural and inexpensive place to live in. It has it’s big city issues but also has the benefits with world class medical facilities, varied dining options and a relatively mild weather (summers can be humid and hot, though). Housing is still affordable and the suburbs have good school districts. Job and career opportunities are galore in multiple arenas. Not a touristy city, but has lots of attractions within a couple of hours. Overall, very livable.

The Livestock Show and Rodeo is the best place to be during the spring. Houstonians are always willing to give each other a hand. Houston has gone through many disasters but after every disaster people help each other. Harvey is one catastrophe that highlighted the loyalty Houstonians have. For example when many homes across the houston area were flooded Mattress Mack, furniture store owner, opened many of its locations as a shelter for those in need. Also during Harvey, dozens of Houston citizens helped their neighbors escape highwater using their jet skis to get through the flooded water.

People who consider Houston, Tx as their city of residence should know traffic is consistently bad and that a normal commute into the city easily takes 40 minutes. The weather is also unpredictable so people should consider carrying an umbrella and a light jacket in their car on on their person at all times.

If you want to come to Houston you need to know it usually hot during year-round and barely even snows during winter. Downtown Houston is beautiful and has office buildings where people work. Midtown is right across from downtown and that’s are where a lot of apartments are.

If moving to the city of Houston, I think it is important to know three things: Galveston Island is 45 miles away, the Astros is the most important baseball team, and NASA has cows that live on the property called “space cows.” My favorite thing about living in Houston is there are really great restaurants everywhere.

Houston, Texas, is one of the most humid places I’ve ever visited. Otherwise, the weather is perfect nearly the entire year – blue skies, long sunlit days, a cool breeze… The most important thing when looking for housing in Houston would be to look for a place with a pool. If you can’t afford a house with one, make sure your neighborhood or apartment complex has one nearby. That way, you’ll be able to make the most of the weather here without suffering from the humidity.

The Southwest region of Houston is rich in the asian cultures: Indian, Vietnamese, Korean and many more. There is also a large community of Asians, specifically Vietnamese. The food created and served here reflect years and years of heritage and history. In this part of town, everybody knows everybody. The Thai Xuan Village apartment complex showcases the close family connections people have with each other.

Houston is believed to be the most populous city in the state of Texas. The city is very big, busy and beautiful. The weather is very dramatic and changes with no warning signs. Housing is quite affordable and the standard of living is fair. It is a city and raise and family.

Houston is a friendly and fun city which is easy to adapt to. If you were looking to purchase a home I would consider searching in the Pasadena area because of the great deals you will receive on good homes in a safe area.
