Moving to Denver now is far more expensive than people think. The usual perception is that Denver is vastly cheaper than coastal cities like New York, San Francisco, and LA. While the cost of living may be a little cheaper overall, the lack of housing inventory makes buying a house anywhere near the city center to be nearly as expensive. On the bright side, the taxes are cheaper here and you get more services. Interestingly, we’ve recently shifted trash pickup to be usage based. That is, the bigger your trash can, the more you pay. However, we have curbside recycling (all recyclables in one bin) and composting both of which are free.

At exactly one mile above elevation, Denver, Colorado serves as a medium between a growing city and a beautiful mountain terrain. The humble city has grown rapidly. Economically the city booms with rising real estate transactions and supports the development of small businesses. Geographically, Denver is a colorful mixture of seasons surrounded by looming mountains all times of the year. Denver has increasingly become more recognized for the diverse melting pot it represents. Along the streets, a variety of influences coat the structural and commercial setting of this massive city.

Denver is a lovely city located close to the Rocky Mountains. If you are a nature lover, Denver would suit you well. The economy is strong and growing. Housing prices are rising quickly, making it expensive to live in Denver. Altogether, I recommend Denver as a pleasant place.
