It’s pricey, groceries are I’m told double what my friend in Las Vegas pays. Depending on the job, you may make substantially less. Multicultural, accepting, weather is similar most of the time. Condos and homes are older and more expensive (per square foot) than most mainlanders realize.

Honolulu has more of a big town atmosphere. Best to get away from the touristy places. Be prepared to spend some money as prices are not cheap.

You are going to need tons of money to live in Honolulu. Rents & home prices are astronomical! The prices of everything are outrageous!

Honolulu is a beautiful city. There are many sights to see and the locals are very kind. I highly recommend that you explore all of the beaches, hikes, and food if you move here. One of my favorite restaurants is Koko Head Cafe. However, if you are interested in relocating to the island, you must be also be prepared for the high cost of living.

My city is a very nice place. It has a very good weather and have a ton of really nice places to visit. The people are nice and very accommodative. Although, traffic is a problem; that is why you need to prepare early on. Other than that, it is a really nice place to move in.

Honolulu has the perfect blend of traditional Hawaiian culture and modern commerce. While it is always crowded with tourists looking to experience the vibrant nightlife and pristine ocean waters of Waikiki Beach, the variety of cuisine and activity makes it ideal for those who enjoy seaside city living. Shops and services are plentiful throughout the downtown area, and a robust public transportation system means you can stay off the busy freeways and enjoy the beach.

It’s beautiful here. Weather is sunny and warm year round. One of the downside is cost of living is expensive here. Public transportation is great and convenient. There are many shops for easy access. There are plenty of job opportunities if one makes effort to look for them. Honolulu is great place.

When moving to Honolulu, one must consider the humidity. The moisture combined with the heat can feel suffocating and unbearable, but after a few months, it is barely perceptible. Honolulu has a tropical climate because it is near the equator; new residents must allow time to acclimate. Once they grow accustomed to the heat, they can enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful beaches.

Honolulu is a beautiful city in the heart of the Pacific ocean. Many of those who move here are looking to enjoy a lifestyle filled with surfing, hiking, and aloha. Honolulu has a perfect balance of urban city life and nature-focused activities. If you chose to move to Honolulu, you can find just what you are looking for.

New residents to Honolulu, Hawaii should know the cost of rent, food, and gas. Many do not research before making the move and are unpleasantly surprised by the high cost of living in the islands. For example, gas is normally around the $3 per gallon range and rent is comparable to cities such as New York, San Francisco, and Seattle. New residents should be prepared to put effort into meeting friends, as the islands breed a clique mentality.
