Haripur is a historical city of Hazara division. It dates back to the Gandhara civilization 200-250 BC. It is located on a very important geographical location; it has four rivers, Siran River, Hero River, River Dour and last but definitely not least, the historic Indus River. The district has one of the big water reservoirs Tarbeela Dam along with small dams like Khan Pur Dam, Khal Dam, Bhutari Dam. The name of the city belongs to a Sikh warrior “Hari Singh” whose name is mentioned on the list of the best generals of the world. He is the only general that defeated Pakhtoons of Peshawar.

Haripur is well known for its natural beauty, people are welcoming, foods are in demand. It is a large city comprising 50 villages having all facilities. In a survey, Haripur came on no.1 for its highest literacy rates. One can find this city so worthy to move because of its reputation.
