Fort Mill has been growing so much due to the higher taxes in Charlotte, NC, and retirees are moving here from up north as well. Real estate has recently gone up but that was expected. This is one of the top 3 safest places to live in SC. The schools are known to be some of the best in the state. You still can have the small town feel but also the amenities of the city. Best of both worlds.
