Reisterstown is a large suburb with a small town feel. There is excellent access to job markets in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. Factors that make the area desirable include highly-ranked public schools, low crime rates, and ample recreational opportunities. Reisterstown prides itself on being a welcoming area. There is great diversity in race, socioeconomics, education levels, and religions. Our small town has strong traditions including our annual Fourth of July parade and the end of summer festival. The area has modern conveniences including Starbucks and Chipotle while celebrating longtime businesses on historic Main Street.

Reisterstown is a very friendly city within the Northwest part of Baltimore County. It was established in 1758 by German immigrant John Reister. The most well known schools in Reisterstown are: Franklin High, Franklin Middle, Franklin Elementary, Cedarmere Elementary, Reisterstown Elementary, Timber Grove Elementary, Glyndon Elementary, Hannah More School, and Chatsworth Elementary.

Due to Reisterstown’s location, there are also outdoor activities that aren’t far away. The Irvine Nature Center has various nature trails, classrooms, a museum, and a huge green exhibit hall. Families send their children to the summer camp, local schools visit for field trips, and couples even get married here.
