The hot to very hot and humid climate. The lack of open bars for alcohol. The place where expats are more than the citizens.

Nice city but bit conservative compared to Dubai. Many areas don’t have proper light and pavement.

It’s a good and safe city to live with family. Cons are hot climate and the cost of living is a bit high.

Anyone considering moving to Doha should definitely make themselves aware of the scorching heat here, as temperatures are usually very high. But occasionally there is rainfall, and a couple of months at the end of the year where a cool breeze marks the presence of the winter season. However, I recommend they stock up on SPF before booking their flight.

Doha is Qatar’s capital. It is the world’s wealthiest country due to its abundant supply of natural gas. Moreover, it is widely known as the ultimate travel hub having been dubbed as a gateway to the world. With its promising wealth and progress, it is set to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Doha is an state that follows Islamic principles. Hence one needs to be cautious about what they wear and how they behave in public. It’s not as intimidating as it sounds but the rules are pretty strict. Also one must be aware that it can be extremely hot during the summer season, so it’s better to load up on sunscreen or just avoid moving out during the day.

Any person moving to Doha should know that it is a beautiful city and a perfect amalgamation of tradition and modernity. The city has some classic monuments and palaces to visit and is very welcoming to people from all walks of life. Not only the city but also the country has the highest number of expats from countries all around the world and offers great professional opportunities.

As someone who lived in this city for almost 10 years, what I can suggest to people moving here is that, they should prepare a huge amount of money. any place would require you to spend at least a dollar, but here you’d surely be bothered by how pricey the products are. Hence, if you have your food and transportation handled, there would be places that you could go in to for free. Regardless, some people here are kind and open to every possibility out there.

The reason migrant workers flock here is opportunity. For lower-paid workers, Qatar offers something life in Asia or Africa cannot, namely a job, regular income and the ability to support a family back home. For white-collar workers, Qatar offers better career prospects, higher salaries and tax-free living. Qatari Nationals are very friendly but they have the attitude of not disturbing other nationalities. They live in their own style and once you make friendship than they are very friendly.

When moving here, one must remember to pack a lot of cotton clothes. The weather here would be unbearable if one wears a sweater. The sweltering hot climate is sure to make anyone thirsty, so I recommend bringing a lot of water and even buying a water dispenser to avoid dehydration.

The Mall of Qatar, Villagio and Banana island are the most popular places in Qatar. In Doha we have a mixture of all races but Indians make up the most of the population. In Doha the temperatures here are always high and so it is important to keep hydrated. The houses here are mostly made of concrete and steel.

Anyone moving to Doha (Qatar) has to take several issues into consideration to make their journey and residence in there memorable. Doha is in the Gulf region where all those countries are characterized with a very high temperature and humidity in summer. The traditions there are unique, so they should know not to humiliate or underestimate their culture. Religion is also something very important there, so the visitor has to respect it all the time. There are plenty of locations to visit in while in Doha like the museums, malls, safari locations, etc.

Before moving to Doha in Qatar, consider the following:
1. The hot weather with varying humidity conditions.
2. A work environment which involves cooperation with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
3. A conservative society that still upholds Islamic traditions and cultural values.
4. The voltage level for electrical devices, which is 220 volts.

Anyone moving to Doha, Qatar should ensure they do so at a time when the weather is pleasant. Since, it is a desert region, we experience extreme summers and extreme winters. Hence, it is highly important to check the weather before planning your travel. Additionally, kindly make sure you pack cool, loose clothing since the weather on most days, is quite humid.

Doha being a part of middle eastern region has a great mix of people from around the world, a splendid and modern day example of perfect modern age and ancient values. This beautiful city has a lot to offer for people looking for a change from a stressed competitive environment. The weather here is on extremes in both winter and summer, yet the transitioning months are splendid to enjoy some beach time. Doha is developing in a rapid speed. The city is safe and is the busiest out of all the cities in the country. Doha is the heart of Qatar, therefore, the city is covered with lots of beautiful places and nature Attraction in which tourists can visit. Due to the high temperature however, it is less likely to see lots of people walking outside during the day.

Doha is a very safe city for visitors and has very little crime. Women walking alone might be approached or may be the object of curiosity. Just be polite and continue on your way. The locals are well educated and extremely nice to tourists, whom they view as their own guests.
