Diversity and Racism in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur

Zamboanga City is known as the Latin City in Asia because of the Chavacano dialect which is creole Spanish. The city is multicultural too with plenty to make living or visiting a worthy experience.

I am from Zamboanga City also known as Asia’s Latin City. You can expect to be received with open arms and hospitable people. Our language is Chavacano and it is a Spanish creole. Our city is a melting pot of Christian and Muslim cultures which creates beautiful and colorful blend of different foods, architecture and traditional clothing unique to our city.

Zamboanga City is a very diverse city. Everyone respects every religion, race and gender. My city is “Asia’s Latin City” because of the unique culture influenced by Spanish during their colonization period. It is evident on the city’s local dialect called “Chavacano. The food and the way of living was also changed.

I want everyone visiting my City to know about its diverse culture, unique language, and majestic tourist spots. I want to show the visitors how we stand the blend of our culture creates a beautiful ambiance in the community. Also, I want to let them know that through our Chavacano dialect our city is calledia’s Latin City. Finally, I want to let them behold the wonderful blessings of nature.

Zamboanga City is filled with a culturally diverse group of people and it is also considered the Asia’s Latin City. Someone who decides to move on in my city shall learn on how to get along with people or in other words, must have a strong foundation of communication and socializing skills.

Someone moving to Zamboanga City should consider the dialect spoken of the natives here. He also needs to consider that the citizens in Zamboanga is diverse. The city is rich in culture coming from the different upbringings of its people coming from the city’s neighboring islands and main peninsula.

Before moving to Zamboanga City, you must consider one important factor. We have a unique dialect that is quite similar to Spanish. It is called Chavacano.
